WHERE TO DIG

The United States (and the rest of the world) is suffering from a shortage oil and the crude to refine it. I suggest that we begin plans to drill for it now in the Gulf of Mexico near the end of United States mineral rights about half a mile from the border with Cuban mineral rights.

I have heard a rumor and some substantiation that Cuba plans to drill on its side of the line, and since we will both be drawing from the same pool, we might as well start taking our part before it disappears.

Some people in the United States fear that any time an oil well is drilled at sea, disaster will ensue It WILL NOT ensue inevitably, and Americans will take extra care to see that there will be no oil spills or sabotage.
